Wick Playfield Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

On Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 4:30 p.m., Milwaukee Recreation is celebrating the completed renovation of Wick Playfield! You are invited to attend and join the special community ceremony alongside local leaders and Milwaukee Recreation staff.
Like each of Milwaukee Recreation’s previous playfield renovations, community feedback was essential to this project, helping to guide the design process and create a sense of ownership for the surrounding neighborhood. Thanks to community input – gathered through on-site events and online surveys – the new design reflects the needs and ideas of the people who use it most.
Here is what’s new at Wick Playfield:
- Modern playground equipment
- Splash pad
- New basketball courts
- Comfortable plaza seating
- New walking paths
- Renovated restrooms
- Improved lighting
- Solar shade structures
- Synthetic turf baseball & softball diamonds
- Refreshed dirt softball diamonds
- New batting cages & pitching bays
