art from local artists and shops on Vliet St. and North Ave.

Block Parties

Bloom and Groom is held at the Community Garden northwest corner of 49th and Lloyd.

January, usually on a Saturday

Sponsored by the Urban Ecology Center (UEC) at  Washington Park. Great day of sledding, skating, igloo building and many fun events for kids. The UEC offers gardening, recreation and environmental programs for kids and adults all year long. Stop by to pick up a schedule. Better yet, join the UEC as a member.

It takes many volunteers to ensure the success of these events. Please consider getting involved in your community. Just contact the person in charge of the events you’re able to help with.
