Dear Washington Heights Neighborhood Association Member,
You are invited along with other WHNA membership to a special WHNA meeting on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 6:00PM. WHNA is ready to apply for tax-exempt status with the IRS. (501 (c)(3)) The Board of Directors has been working with an attorney to prepare the application and update the WHNA bylaws. Bylaw amendments must be voted on by the members at an in-person meeting. You must be a current member to vote. Please update your membership now at whna.net/membership/ and join us on Thursday, August 18, 2022.

1. Update to a 501(c)(3) requires:
a. Statement of purpose
b. Addition of Conflict of Interest clause
c. Addition of Dissolution clause
2. Change in Fiscal Year from July 1st to June 30th to a Calendar Fiscal

Where: St. Sebastian’s Parish - Outdoors on 54th street, East side of St. Seb’s.
**Weather permitting, Will be moved indoors if needed.
**We will not have chairs available if this meeting is outdoors, please bring a chair for yourself if you wish to do so.
