Have rummage items you don’t want returned to your basement? Need to clean out your garage, attic or closets?
Saturday, June 4th from 1pm-4pm, WHNA has arranged for Better Earth Textile Recycling and ReStore to have trucks present in Mt. Olive Lutheran Church’s parking lot, during our annual rummage sale. Mt. Olive’s parking lot can be accessed south of Washington Blvd. on 54th Street.
Better Earth Textile Recycling is a green, for-profit organization working throughout Southeastern Wisconsin to reduce textile waste by finding new life for old clothes. A portion of the value of all donated textiles goes directly to support local schools, religious organizations and non-profit organizations. Learn more at: http://betrearth.com/.
Better Earth will be recycling: Clothing of all types; Paired shoes; Belts & purses / wallets; Towels & sheets/comforters.
Items can be loose, in bags, or boxes. No carpets, rugs, drapes, mattresses.
ReStore will be collecting: Gently used furniture, décor, appliances, tools, home improvement supplies and more. For a complete listing of items they accept visit: www.milwaukeerestore.org.
Can’t participate on June 4th? ReStore is happy to schedule a free pickup online at: www.milwaukeerestore.org or contact Kathy at: 414-316-5651.
Restore collected items will be resold at the ReStores in Wauwatosa and Walker’s Point with proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity’s mission of building affordable homes for families in need. For the past three years, their neighborhood revitalization strategy has been focused in the Washington Park neighborhood, bringing affordable housing solutions to the community through new construction, rehabbing abandoned foreclosures and home repairs for existing residents.
