Milwaukee Film Festival Partnership

 In Feature

The Milwaukee Film Festival returns this fall to the Times Cinema (5906 W. Vliet Street) and several other venues throughout the area. Running from September 24 to October 8, the Festival and includes feature films, shorts programs, education screenings, post-film conversations, and panel discussions. Now in its seventh year, this extraordinary 15-day event reminds us how film can entertain, educate, and empower. The WHNA is proud to be a Community Partner once again for the Festival, supporting the Swedish film Hallåhallå, winner of the audience award at the Hamburg Film Festival. Sweden is the Festival’s “passport country” for 2015, and Hallåhallå is one of eight Swedish films to be featured. It is a comedy about a middle-aged recent divorcée who finds the strength to break free from old habits, and it is among the many films that will be playing at the Times during the Festival. The full schedule is yet to be released at the time of this writing but will be available at mkefilm.org by the time you’re reading this! Please check out everything the Milwaukee Film Festival has to offer, particularly those films playing right here in Washington Heights, including Hallåhallå.
