Plastic Paradise Documentary

April 18, 2015 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Saturday, April 18, 2015, 10:30AM FREE

Times Cinema 59th & Vliet St.

The Washington Heights Neighborhood Association Green Committee
invites you to kick-off Earth Week and our theme for 2015 — Recycle
It! — with a free film screening and talk about the status of
recycling efforts in Milwaukee.

We will be showing the award winning independent documentary “Plastic
Paradise: The Great Pacific Garbage Patch”
(http://plasticparadisemovie.com/trailer/) — an investigation into
the largest trash vortex in the Pacific Ocean and the environmental
consequences of our use of plastics. The movie will be followed by
brief talk about what you can do in your community, neighborhood, and
household to refuse, reduce, reuse, and Recycle It! The film is not
rated and contains graphic images of wildlife so some parental
discretion is advised. Contact green@whna.net for more information.

Seating is limited so please RSVP for Recycle It! Kick-off & “Plastic
Paradise” Screening on Facebook
